		<description>The first workaround solved my problem on my Gentoo 2007.0 machine. Just &lt;code&gt;emerge libsmbios&lt;/code&gt;, then &lt;code&gt;modprobe dcdbas&lt;/code&gt;. Now my syslog isn't flooded with those annoying messages anymore! :-D</description>

So, I reverted to NetworkManager and in /etc/syslog.conf I added NetworkManager.notice to any line that logged *.info or *.debug messages.

That tells syslog on Fedora to only log NetworkManager messages if they are notice level or higher, avoiding the annoying info message about the missing killswitch.</description>
