i hadn’t heard about bis in a while. visnu just told me:

"I got to ride Elton John's Segway last Friday, right after
4 out of 7 drives in our main server's RAID array died spontaneously
and simultaneously, and were "fixed" by just telling the RAID controller
to bring them all back online. Yeah, that was a weird day." -bis
